LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

I moved to Hollywood in search of a career in the movies and was a successful part of the Producing team. Teaming up with you to successfully buy, sell and invest in real estate is my goal.

Working on various locations all over the city of Los Angeles and living in the Valley and currently on the Westside has provided the knowledge necessary to know many different neighborhoods from Downtown Los Angeles, Burbank all the way across the San Fernando Valley, from Pasadena to the South Bay. I’ve never been one to sit still for long and have sold real estate in neighboring counties – a cabin in Lake Arrowhead, second homes in Palm Springs, investment property in Orange County, a first home in Ventura County.

Working in these various neighborhoods also means knowing where to find almost anything one needs from the grocery stores, dry cleaners, pharmacies, coffee houses, specialty stores and such. This “extra effort” information is essential to a big city like Los Angeles. My curiosity has me scouring distant locations to know them as intimately as I know my own neighborhood. I’m a thorough Realtor who can help you long after you buy or sell a house.

City Lot into Beautiful Landscaped Pathway

DEDICATED TO THE COMMUNITY

An empty lot in my Venice neighborhood attracted my attention. This lot is owned by the City of Los Angeles and is used as access from the beach to the historic Venice Canals. After talking about it for quite some time, I received permission from the City to landscape this lot and install a pathway!

When you buy a house, you turn it into a home. The same theory applies when it comes to your surrounding neighborhood.

Looking at the vacant City lot on Pacific Avenue, I always envisioned a landscaped pathway. After contacting the City of LA and receiving permission to landscape, I solicited help from the Venice Canals Association. With their input, the project has grown to include an easement on the Canals. Approved a second time by both the City of LA and the Coastal Commission, the project attracted incredible local support. The Venice Canals Foundation was created to accept a generous grant by California Coastal Conservancy and now the lot and easement are beautiful, ADA accessible pathways.

ABOUT RHONDA

Being involved and giving back keeps us all well rounded and I’m a firm believer in “think globally, act locally”. Before transforming a city lot into a beautiful pathway, I’ve also volunteered my time on the Venice Garden Tour and later served on the board of Venice Canals Foundation. Another gardening passion is with Community Healing Gardens, whereby planter boxes pop up on street corners and neighbors are invited to participate in the planting, growing and consuming of vegetables. I’ve also volunteered my time with children at 826LA, El Hogar de Los Ninos and Special Olympics.

For many years I put together Architecture Tours for the Annual Venice Art Walk & Auctions. My interest in architecture and the amazing possibilities one can have in their own homes is another way to serve my clients. But neighborhoods are more than houses and streets. There are many people who make up community and in Venice we love our dogs. I have now taken over leadership of our annual Dog-O-Ween Halloween Party! This annual event has been going on since somewhere around the year 2000.

I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Growing up, family was everything. The extended family always gathered at our house for celebrations. Every summer holiday was celebrated with a big barbeque. That sense of family and a Midwest work ethic was instilled in me as a young child starting with household chores. I never stop learning and sharing. Selecting a career is a luxury; one I am grateful for every day. I take pride in my clients obtaining their first home, others reaching their real estate goals and celebrating their families and milestones. Extraordinary service is my normal mode of operation and you can expect nothing but my best interest for you!
